Rest. Restore. Reset. (Re)claim

Something powerful happens when those who give so much to others pause and reconnect with themselves.

Step away from the demands of daily life and receive slow, intentional care.

This retreat is an invitation to soothe exhaustion and burnout, rest your nervous system, and restore your energy so you can live and lead with purpose.

You’ll return to your classrooms, workplaces, and communities not only lighter and clearer, but also better equipped to sustain yourself within the work you do in the world.

Held in a lush sanctuary on the quiet West coast of Bali, enjoy 5 days of deep rest, gentle movement, arts experiences and tailored professional learning and coaching sessions (equivalent to 16 hrs teacher PD with certificates provided).

Are you ready to slow down?

Imagine waking to the sound of exotic birdsong and gathering early to share morning practices that stretch your body and ground you into the day. Moving gently in the warmth of the morning sun, you watch the river glisten and begin to feel a quiet shift inside you. Breakfast is fresh, unhurried, and shared in lush surroundings, and your day flows through workshops and creative sessions that bring clarity and fresh perspective to your life, teaching and leadership.

Your afternoon is reflective and restful, with a massage then a beach walk. Dinner nourishes you with food and conversations that spark clarity and calm —you are connecting with a small group of people with similar values and a shared vision for the future. You fall asleep easily, no racing thoughts, no lists, just the comfort of deep rest that stays with you long after you leave.

True care begins with being well-resourced

You’ll leave not only restored, but equipped with tools and clarity to sustain your wellbeing, lead with confidence, and design a life that feels aligned, so you can keep giving to others without becoming overwhelmed. Recognising that your inner world is reflected in your outer experiences, you'll also gain:

  • Clarity about what truly matters in your work and life
  • Tools to lead and care for others from a place of steadiness rather than depletion
  • Confidence to trust your inner voice and lead with authenticity
  • Renewed energy to show up for children, families, patients, & community
  • Practices to transform routine into daily devotion
  • A sense of calm and stability that stays with you long after the retreat ends

Exhaustion and burnout happen when the demands of care keep outweighing the space you have to replenish.

SLOW RETREATS are your invitation to lay all of that down for a while. To rest, to breathe, to be nourished. To come back to yourself, and (re)claim your profession with heart.

Let us serve you. It's time for you to receive!

Meet your host.

Kelly Boucher brings a multi-passionate mix of modalities and experience to her work in the world. She is an Independent Scholar (a recovering academic!) an Education Consultant, Leadership Coach and Artist. She is also a Master Practitioner in NLP coaching and Time Line Therapy®

She believes education (and life!) should be alive with curiosity, creativity, critical thought and expression, not trapped by busywork and 'doings'.

Having worked in arts and education for 25 years, she calls us into radical responsibility: to think otherwise, to 'live well-with the world', and to ignite courageous leadership in those who are ready to transform.

Through her own journey of recovering from burnout and adrenal fatigue, Kelly knows too well the importance of radical self-care. She believes everyone deserve deep rest and places where we can put down the the load. This is why she created Slow Retreats so she could gather a support team to nurture you back to your heart —a place to (re)seed your inner ecology and cultivate flourishing futures.

Meet your self-care guide.

Lisa Grant's embodiment journey began over 20 years ago with dance and movement practices like The 5 Rhythms, and later evolving into teaching her own approach to embodied living. Today, she works as a Somatic Therapist, NLP practitioner, and Mind/Body Nutrition Coach.

What is Somatic Therapy?
Somatic therapy helps you connect with how your body holds stress, emotions, and past experiences. Our past experiences live in the body, shaping our physical and mental health. When we tune into ourselves and open up a conversation with the body, we can begin to unwind the nervous system and access our innate wisdom.

This awareness helps release tension, calm the nervous system, and create new, healthier ways of being. It’s a gentle and supportive way to feel more grounded, less stuck, and more at ease in your body and mind.

"I've known Kelly for over 25 years now, and I know the importance of the work she is doing to advocate for and support wellness and restoration for teachers/care workers."

Lisa is truly excited to be supporting you to create space for restoration, reconnection, and deep care.

Meet your self-care guide.

Anita Grace is an Integrative Rongoà (traditional Mäori healing) practitioner blending modern science, Indigenous Mäori wisdom and Rongoa botanical medicine, and heart coherence for holistic wellness.

Her unique approach, informed by a background in floral science and psychology, addresses the inter-connectedness of body, mind, soul, and spirit. Anita's practice incorporates Dr. Rangimarie Turuki Rose Pere's 'Te Wheke' Holistic Model of Health and she artfully weaves Matauranga (Wisdom) and Rongoà (Mãori Medicine) with scientific insights to support holistic well-being.

We are privileged to have Anita join us on retreat to share 'Te Wheke' teachings on how we might cultivate daily devotional practices in service to ourselves and those whom we attend to each day.

Who is this retreat for?

If you’ve been giving endlessly and know it’s time to receive, this retreat is for:

  • Teachers and educators who feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or burnt out

  • Carers in health, disability, or community roles who need space to restore and be cared-for themselves

  • Leaders who carry responsibility for others and long to reconnect with their why

  • Anyone in a caring role who is ready to step out of survival mode and return to themselves

For those who recognise that tending to their own wellbeing is not selfish, rather, it’s the foundation for sustaining their purpose, leadership, and care for others.

Why this retreat?

Wellness is quite the buzzword these days!

This is not a 'wellness retreat', rather, it is an intentional proposal for you to 'live well-with' (and in) the world an invitation to step out of the noise of your life, and be nourished and rested in the calm of nature.

A gentle thread of workshops and coaching sessions weave through our days. These are intentionally crafted through the lens of education and care, and facilitated by people who understand the importance of giving. We offer participants a supported place to release limiting beliefs and (re)connect to their profession.

This retreat is more than temporary relief. It is a collective action to cultivate a greater vision for life and humanity.

Why Bali?

Our founder Kelly is a tropical baby. She was born and raised in Far North Queensland, Australia. A lush paradise that shaped a free spirited, barefoot childhood.

On her first visit to Bali in 2012, she was greeted with a deep familiarity of her tropical home. Shedding the tensions and busyness of life in the city, she dropped into the slow pace of a culture steeped in reverence, daily ritual and astounding beauty.

As a destination for a retreat, Bali is accessible (particularly from Australia), and offers a unique cultural experience for those seeking deep rest and rejuvenation. Beyond the tourist thrum, Bali is a place of gentleness and beauty in a climate that promotes a spiritual lifestyle into health and vitality.

Will you be joining us in paradise?
5 -10 April, 2026.

Be part of a gathering like nothing else you've experienced before!
We look forward to serving you X
